America the Beautiful Park

On Labor Day we decided to go with the Piersons and Neilsens to the America the Beautiful Park in downtown Colorado Springs. Its one of the many projects that they did to help revive the downtown area. This big sculpture slowly spins and usually has water streaming down the center. It has a water area that wraps around the sculpture and gets bigger towards the bottom. The kids had blast playing in the water and being with their friends. Later that day we all met at the Piersons for pizza and root beer floats. We also had a little couples Olympic wii competition. It was a very relaxing holiday weekend.
